Our architectural studio undertook the renovation of a 90 sq.m. apartment located on the 3rd floor of a 1960s residential building on Ippokratous Street, in the vibrant neighborhood of Neapoli, Athens, offering unique views of Lycabettus Hill. The original flat was transformed into two fully independent short-term rental apartments, combining the charm of the past with a bold, contemporary design approach.
Reviving the Past Through Design
The design concept embraces a retro aesthetic, enriched by a vibrant color palette and the preservation of key architectural elements. The original herringbone wooden flooring, plaster ceiling decorations, and tall classic windows were carefully restored, adding character and depth to the interior atmosphere.
Tailored Interiors, Timeless Aesthetics
Each apartment is tailored to meet the needs of the modern traveler, offering natural light, comfort, and spatial efficiency, while reflecting the distinctive feel of Athenian urban living.
The color and material choices draw inspiration from the mid-century design era, blending warm hues, vintage textures, and custom furnishings to create a playful yet refined result. The overall ambiance evokes a sense of nostalgia while offering all the amenities of contemporary hospitality.
